Okay, so when you want to play in the computer room, you can either;

A.) Just go in and play with no sound.
B.) Pay $1 for a headset and play with sound.

I don't like this all that much. The fact that I have to pay extra for sound is a bit frustrating. I'm not saying $1 is unreasonable, I'm just saying its a bit ridiculous that I have to pay extra to hear in game sounds.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying all headsets should be free, because they shouldn't. All the non-cpu rooms don't require a headset to hear in game sounds. It's the fact that headsets are REQUIRED in the computer room to hear sound.

I am proposing that headsets should be given free to those using the computer room.

I do realize that stuff tends to get damaged if it's given away free. To combat this issue, I propose that players should also be allowed to bring their own headsets.

Thanks for your consideration.

As far as I know, you are allowed to bring your own headset, but it has to be USB.

Unfortunately, most headsets are not USB.

CPG could provide USB adapters for headphone+mic jacks free of charge.  Since they are small and easy to swipe, they could be checked in and out under your account and if you do not return it, you would be charged the cost.

The $1 fee is minimal and it simple covers the cost of broken headsets.  You always have the option of brining in your own headset.

Other centers prefer to charge you more per hour and offer you headsets for free.  We would rather you have the choice.  Many people do not care if they have sound.  They are simply doing MySpace or going through ebay or any number of activities that do not require sound.

We did initally provide adapaters, but unforutnately people broke those as fast as they break headsets.  You can acquire a USB adapter for standard headsets at most electronic stores such as Best Buy for only a few dollars.

We appologize that this setup is not ideal to you, but our goal is to make our facility as affordable as possible to everyone, while providing the flexability for more hardcore users to utilize their own equipment, such as headsets.

I see. Thanks for the consideration. I'll look into a adapter.
